I was a little hesitant to come here after seeing the photos online of the food. Must be amateur photography because this place didn't disappoint. Seafood was amazing and the young man with longer reddish strawberry blond hair was an amazing and attentive waiter.

Definitely our new favorite restaurant!! Not just favorite seafood, favorite of ALL. The menu is based on fresh fish they receive and the flavors they are able to infuse into the foods you've been eating your entire life will blow you away! Great atmosphere and friendly staff - the owner even came to check on us at one point and she was so pleasant.

Had excellent service and the food was excellent. Was a little skeptical at first because of the size but was really nice inside and food was really good. Had the lobster cones and I had the redfish and my daughter had the halibut. Can't wait to come back and try other things on the menu. Only downside is desserts aren't fresh.

This is such a hidden gem. Delicious food, great service and intimate ambiance. We got the grilled oysters to start. Appetizers are small I will say that BUT the entre portions are not. They don't serve their entrees with filler (rice, noodles, etc) so what you get is pure protein all fish. So delicious. Husband ordered the halibut and I got the red curry snapper.

Best seafood restaurant in League City! They have a great variety of fish with hints of Asian flavors. My favorite dish was the Alaskan halibut! The yuzu/miso flavor made it so buttery without being too decadent. Also get the seafood noodles on the side. They look like bland white noodles but had so much flavor!

Everything! From the moment you walk in the ambience is nice- a casual elegance- with a touch of sports bar having a TV above the beautiful bar and wine wall. The service - kind- attentive and helpful with suggestions and recommendations- and accommodate sub requests The Food- everything is flavorful- cooked perfectly- not over not under- and presented beautifully! A nice place to go- planned or spur of the moment- to have a relaxed- nice meal among friends.

3.75 stars we tried MiRu Seafood tonight for my bday dinner. they have a dedicated gluten free menu which is always great! the vibe is dark and intimate and you'd never know it used to be a slim chickens. we had the grouper appetizer which was fried grouper with a mango tomato basil chutney. the dish was pretty bland but the fish was very tender. i had the redfish, which came with crab and brusselsprouts. the dish comes originally with brown butter sauce but that is not gluten free. i found the dish very bland and underwhelming- some seasoning or alternate sauce would have gone a long way in my opinion. but the fish was very high quality my husband had the seafood pot which was a coconut curry (not spicy) with mussels, shrimp and some vegetables. it is gluten free if you order it without the toast. his dish was very flavorful and delicious. we had mango mochi for dessert! service was great, so were cocktails! we would definitely come back but i would be sure to order something with a sauce for more flavor.

MiRu Seafood was the perfect spot for a birthday dinner with friends. We made a reservation for 6 people to be on the safe side, but when we walked in, a reservation wasn't needed. There were only a few tables taken, which was surprising given how nice the ambiance is. Collectively as a group we tried a little bit of everything so I'll just hit the highlights for each. Calamari - light batter, very tasty spicy dipping sauce The Big Scallop - lobster butter garlic soy deliciousness Rock shrimp - crispy and covered in sweet and spicy mayo Brussel sprouts - so addicting we ordered 3 orders, must get Shell baked scallops - spicy aioli and mushrooms mixed in Crab cake - good size chunks of crab, lobster butter Fish n chips - BEST thing on the menu we tried. Super light batter Wagyu short rib - ultra tender, melts in your mouth Hawaiian Swordfish - very meaty fish w/ their tasty lobster brown butter sauce Lobster pumpkin soup - interesting twist on the usual lobster bisque, very creamy Redfish - very meaty fish, topped with blue crab Seafood Noodles - rice noodles mixed with clam sauce Scottish Salmon - beautifully plated, shrimp and blue crab, good but the least favorite dish just bc the salmon was slightly overcooked/dry We also tried a few cocktails with the jasmine old fashioned being the favorite. Coming from the owners of Michiru sushi, MiRu serves a lot of high quality seafood. The service was great, and their bar area is beautiful. I'm really hoping they add a happy hour in the future for discounted food/drinks. But overall, this place seriously needs more attention for how great their food is. I'm really hoping League City and the surrounding areas give them the support they deserve. Cheers!

I had no idea that this place was a Japanese-inspired restaurant until our server told us. I came here with some friends for a birthday dinner, and it's located in a stand-alone building. It's in a parking lot with plenty of parking. Inside the restaurant, it almost gives you an upscale vibe with the dim lights and how nice everything looks. Even the back-wall bar looks very elevated too. There is plenty of seating inside. What our table ordered: -calamari -rock shrimp -brussel sprouts -half shell baked scallops -seared scallops -Scottish salmon -rainbow trout -fish & chips The calamari and brussel sprouts were great appetizers. I loved how fresh the calamari was, and the furikake seasoning that it had. That made it really unique. It even came with a house-made sauce (very similar to spicy mayo, mixed with something else), that was really delicious. We originally had ordered only 1 order of the brussel sprouts, and then ended up adding 2 more extra orders of it for the table because of how much we enjoyed it. The seared scallops and half shell baked scallops were DELICIOUS. Highly highly highly recommend if you're a fan of scallops. The seared scallops had the most amazing flavor and texture. The half shell baked scallops was coated in a delicious sauce with mushrooms. I would get these dishes again. The fish and chips were actually one of our tables' favorites. The way the fish was battered was to perfection and the fish was full of flavor. I was hoping the salmon would be a bit jucier but after a few bites, it did feel a little dry to me. At least a little bit more dry than I would've liked. Overall, the flavor was good, but I would've preferred it to be a bit jucier. Our server was fantastic with refilling our waters, checking up on us, and giving us excellent recommendations. She was very knowledgeable about everything on the menu that we asked her about. I was pleased overall here. This is a great seafood spot in the area!
